2023 FIRE
On November 8th, 2023 during an evening cycling class a fire was discovered in the facility.
Thankfully everyone was safely evacuated.
The Prince Rupert Fire Department responded promptly to the call, and discovered the fire had started due to an oven that had combusted.
Unfortunately, due to the chemicals and smoke damage, the building WAS closed until the insurance matter is resolved.
We are grateful to Zikhara Yoga Studio for allowing us space to navigate new classes to continue in a limited capacity.
We are so grateful to the businesses and community members that have reached out to offer assistance and support.
To take it to another level, our members organized a baking auction that took off and resulted in an outstanding total of $8,825 proceeds!
Together with donations from other local businesses, we received over $10,000.
These funds have been used to alleviate the upfront costs of the resulting damages.
We are beyond thankful and teary-eyed at the amount of support and love that has been shown to us in light of this unforeseen event.
We are a small business, focusing on small intimate classes while trying to maiNtain affordable memberships to the community
This fundraising efforts has forever impacted our hearts and we promise to come back stronger.
